The Mitsubishi LT-22 is a multi-role transport aircraft that was introduced by the Japanese company Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation in the late 1970s. It is a twin-engine turboprop aircraft designed to transport troops, supplies, and equipment both domestically and internationally. The LT-22 is also capable of conducting medical evacuation, search and rescue, and environmental and disaster relief missions. It has a maximum payload capacity of 5,500 kg and can accommodate up to 40 troops or 6 stretchers. The aircraft is in service with the Japan Self-Defense Forces, as well as other countries such as Thailand and Malaysia.
