Brand: Mitsubishi

The Mitsubishi DD-4021 is a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline direct injection engine (GDI) manufactured by Mitsubishi Motors. It was first introduced in 2018 for the Nissan Sylphy sedan sold in China, which is a rebadged version of the Mitsubishi Galant in that market. The DD-4021 engine features a lightweight aluminum engine block and cylinder head with chain-driven double overhead camshafts (DOHC), delivering a maximum power output of 123 kW (165 hp) at 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) from 2000 to 3500 rpm. This engine provides a good balance between power and fuel efficiency, thanks to the turbocharger and direct injection technology that allows for a wider powerband and lower fuel consumption. The DD-4021 engine is also equipped with various advanced features, such as continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) and a closed-loop exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) that helps to reduce emissions.Overall, the Mitsubishi DD-4021 engine offers solid performance, efficiency, and reliability, making it a suitable choice for mid-size sedans in the Chinese market.
