Brand: Grace

The Grace F-9 D was a helicopter designed and manufactured by the Grace Division of Verner Ole Express in the United States during the 1950s. It was a light utility helicopter with a side-by-side seating configuration for the pilot and passenger, with room for additional passengers or cargo on the rear bench seat. The F-9D was powered by a Lycoming O-435-D1B engine, which provided 185 horsepower, and had a maximum cruise speed of around 110 knots (127 mph). It was primarily used for a variety of military and civilian applications, including search and rescue, reconnaissance, transportation, and command and control.Although the Grace F-9D was not a particularly successful commercial product, it did serve in a number of military applications, with around 125 sold to various countries, including Venezuela, Colombia, and Iran. However, it was eventually replaced by more advanced helicopters, and production of the F-9D ceased in the late 1950s.
