The Grace F-9 F, also known as the "Qualifier," was a subsonic fighter aircraft developed by the Austrian aircraft manufacturer, Grace Aeroperations. It was designed as a fighter trainer and light attack aircraft for the Austrian Air Force in the mid-1970s. The plane is powered by a single Rolls-Royce/Avon Turbojet engine, which produces 6,690 pounds of thrust. The aircraft has a maximum speed of Mach 0.89 (625 mph) at 35,000 feet, with a service ceiling of 45,000 feet. Its armament consists of a single 20mm MK108 cannon and two underwing hardpoints for various air-to-ground ordnance. The Grace F-9 F has a wingspan of 35 feet and a length of 48 feet. Its maximum takeoff weight is 19,300 pounds.According to various reports, around 50 Grace F-9 F fighters were produced, with the majority in service by the Austrian Air Force. The aircraft served as a mainstay for the air force in its role as a fighter trainer and light attack platform until its retirement in the 2000s. Today, some preserved examples can be found on display in aviation museums across Austria.
