The VPI Industries Scout 2 is an upgrade to the original Scout turntable, designed and handmade in the USA. It features a new sub-platter assembly with a delrin ring to dampen vibrations, a newly designed main platter made of MDF with aluminum and matte hardwire coatings, and a thicker aluminum tonearm base. The Scout 2 also comes equipped with the Rega RB300 tonearm, which has been modified by VPI with upgraded bearings, wiring, and some internal geometry changes for improved performance. Overall, the VPI Industries Scout 2 offers significantly improved sonic performance and build quality compared to its predecessor.
