The Thorens TD125 mkII (TP16) is an upgraded version of the popular Thorens TD125 turntable. The mkII model includes several significant improvements, such as a newly designed subplatter made of acrylic glass to enhance pitch stability, a redesignedrik decoupling system that reduces unwanted vibrations and resonance, and a 2-speed (33 and 45 RPM) synchronous motor with a custom winding for smoother and more consistent speed accuracy. The TD125 mkII also features a high-quality TPE (Thermoplastic Elastomer) belt for better energy transfer, an upgraded tonearm with improved bearings and a larger counterweight, and a turntable mat made of recalcitrant composite to minimise static electricity. Overall, the Thorens TD125 mkII (TP16) is a high-performance turntable that provides exceptional audio quality and a durable, well-built construction.
