Brand: Sony

The Sony MZ-N707 is a digital audio player that was introduced into the market by Sony in August 1999. It was part of Sony's popular Minidisc (MD) line of audio devices, which used magnetic recording and playback technology on discs that were much smaller than CDs or cassettes. The MZ-N707 had a sleek, pocket-sized design that made it portable and convenient to carry around. It could play back up to 120 minutes of MD durations, and featured a built-in FM radio tuner, supports variable pitch control, and digital connections for linking to other compatible Sony devices, such as Walkmans, car players, or home stereos. The player's display was a 16-bit LCD (liquid crystal display) with a resolution of 128 x 32 pixels. It had the ability to store up to 200 tracks or albums in up to 10 folders. The MZ-N707 also included a rechargeable battery that could provide up to 5 hours of continuous playback.A notable feature of the MZ-N707 was its "Equalizer" function, which enabled users to choose between preset audio settings such as jazz, pop, or rock. This resulted in different tonal balances, and Fine Tune, which offered adjustments for treble, bass, and other audio parameters. The Sony MZ-N707 received generally positive reviews, commending its portability, sound quality, and ease of use. However, it competed against competing MP3 players such as the Rio PMP and the Personal Jukebox, which offered larger storage capacities and did not require using proprietary music formats like MD.Today, while Sony's Minidisc player line is mostly defunct, their MP3 players and various other audio devices continue to be produced and sold.
