Brand: Sonotone

The Sonotone 8TA is a four-channel tape deck that was produced in the late 1970s. It was part of the Sonotone Professional Series and was designed for recording and playback of audio at professional quality levels. The 8TA used Super draw tape (SD) which was a proprietary formulation of magnetic tape developed by Sonotone. Some key features of the 8TA 4SD include a built-in Dolby noise reduction system, adjustable tape speed, professional grade loudness contour and balanced XLR inputs and outputs. It was often used in recording studios, radio and television broadcasting, and post-production work.
