Brand: Rega

The Rega Maia is a high-performance turntable designed and built by Rega Research Ltd, a British turntable and cartridge manufacturer. The Maia is part of Rega's flagship turntable range, which also includes the Apheta and the Fono. The Rega Maia features a double-braced, crisply-plained glass plinth for enhanced rigidity and internal damping. The main platter is made from glass-reinforced polystyrene, which is both lightweight and stiff, resulting in better tracking and reduced resonance. The smaller top platter is also constructed from this material. The sub-platter is precision-moulded from Delrin acetal, which provides increased stiffness and low-level noise reduction. The platter is driven by a custom-made, high-torque AC synchronous motor, enclosed in a double-skin acrylic housing that minimises exterior induced vibration. The Rega Maia comes fitted with Rega's latest RB3003 tonearm, which features increased stiffness and reduced resonance. It also features an upgraded exposed tonearm cable and Rega's branded low-capacitance cartridge.Overall, the Rega Maia is a high-end turntable that combines innovative materials, design, and engineering to provide exceptional audio performance. It's an ideal choice for audiophiles who demand the best possible sound from their analog sources.
