Brand: Hitachi

The Hitachi MT-24 is a magnetic tape storage device introduced by Hitachi (now known as HITACHI GROUP COMPANIES) in the 1980s. It was a high-density tape storage solution that provided a data transfer rate of up to 1.5 MB/s and a storage capacity of up to 240 MB. The MT-24 used a proprietary system called "Open Systems Architecture" (OSA) for data transfer, which made it compatible with other Hitachi storage solutions. It was commonly used in mainframe and mid-range computer systems for backup and archival purposes due to its high capacity and reliability. However, with the increasing popularity of hard disk drives and other newer storage solutions, the MT-24 has become obsolete and is no longer widely used in modern data centers.
