Brand: Hitachi
The Hitachi MT-30 is an optical disc storage device that was introduced by Hitachi (now known as Hitachi Global Storage Technologies) in the late 1990s. It is a 6X second generation DVD-ROM drive that can read single-layer DVDs at a maximum data transfer rate of 3.36 MB/s and double-layer DVDs at 3.72 MB/s. Additionally, it supports read-only CD-ROMs at speeds of up to 24X. The MT-30 is commonly found in desktop computers and low-end servers due to its reasonably low cost and high reliability. However, as modern optical disc technologies continue to advance, the MT-30 has become less popular and is no longer widely sold by manufacturers.
