The Empire RM 200 is a compactly designed digital selective calling (DSC) VHF radio manufactured by Standard Horizon. It is designed for marine use and comes with a variety of features to enhance safety and communication. The RM 200 includes DSC functionality, allowing it to automatically send and receive distress, urgency, and safety messages, as well as routine position and identification messages. It also provides NMEA 0183 compatible output, GPS interface, and external NMEA 0183 input capabilities for integration with other navigation and communication equipment. The radio features a water-resistance rating of IPX7, making it suitable for use in wet environments, as well as a removable hygienic 1-Watt speaker for easy cleaning. The Empire RM 200 operates on the VHF frequency band (156-162 MHz) and comes with a Firmware Updater.
