The Vincent SA-31, also known as the Rapide, was a British motorcycle produced from 1934 to 1955. It was designed by Philip Vincent and his wife, Janet, who founded the Vincent HRD Company in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England.The SA-31, which was the final model in the pre-World War II Rapide range, featured a 998 cc (61.1 ci) V-twin engine that produced approximately 34 bhp (25 kW) at 5500 rpm. It had a top speed of around 105 mph (169 km/h) and was one of the fastest motorcycles of its time.The SA-31 also had a number of new features, including a rear suspension system called the Ariston coil spring hub, which allowed for better handling and ride quality.
