Brand: Triode

Triode Ruby is an implementation of the Ruby programming language that uses a triode logic gate as its basic building block instead of the standard logical operations of AND, OR, and NOT. This unconventional design choice is intended to demonstrate the possibilities and limitations of non-functional programming paradigms and to test the feasibility of building computers using only triode gates, which were common in vacuum tubes and valves in the early days of computing. Triode Ruby is not intended for general-purpose computing or practical use, but rather as a research and educational tool to explore alternative computer architectures and designs.
