Brand: Technics

The Technics SL-V6 is an analog turntable that was produced by the well-known electronics company Panasonic (formerly known as Matsushita) under their Technics brand in the late 1980s. It is part of the SL-1200/1210/1210MK2/1210MK3/1210MK5 series of Technics turntables, which are popular among DJs and vinyl enthusiasts for their high-quality sound and durability. The SL-V6 model, specifically, was released in 1987 and shared many technical specifications with the SL-1210MK2 turntable, which was introduced two years prior. Some of the common features they have include:- Platter made of high-density resin (MDC)- Quartz-controlled oscillator (QCM) for accurate speed control- Low-torque, two-phase synchronous motor with a belt drive system- Stylus-pressure adjustment range of 0-7 gf- Start/stop buttons, pitch control lever, and antenna terminal for RF interference suppressionCompared to the SL-1210MK2, the SL-V6 had a higher starting torque of 0.3 kgf·cm, which was achieved by reducing the slipping of the belt during acceleration. It also had a new tonearm with higher tracking ability to prevent record wear and distortion, a feature known as S-shaped tonearm. Other minor differences include the SL-V6's green LED display instead of the SL-1210MK2's dot matrix display, and the turntable's discontinuation in 1989 when it was replaced by the SL-V7 model.Overall, the Technics SL-V6 is a reliable and high-performance turntable that is still sought after by vinyl enthusiasts and DJs today. It combines technical quality and ease of use, making it a popular choice for both DJs and music lovers alike.
