Brand: Technics

The Technics SL-J11 is a discontinued entry-level direct drive turntable produced by Panasonic (formerly known as Matsushita) under the Technics brand. It was introduced in 1988 as a follow-up to the popular SL-J10 model, and offered similar features at a slightly lower price. The SL-J11 has a high-torque DC servomotor, which allows the turntable to start and stop quickly and accurately. It also has a straightened record arm with a detachable headshell for easy replacement of cartridges. The turntable's platter is made of die-cast aluminum with a rubber mat to reduce resonance. One unique feature of the SL-J11 is its integrated phono amplifier, which allows it to be connected directly to an amplifier without the need for a separate phono preamp. This feature makes it an attractive option for those just starting out in vinyl playback.Technics stopped producing turntables in 2010 and sold the Technics brand to Panasonic's audio subsidiary, Onkyo, in 2018. As a result, the SL-J11 is no longer in production, and replacement parts for it can be hard to find. However, the SL-J11 remains a popular choice among vinyl enthusiasts due to its reliable performance and audio quality.
