Brand: Technics

The Technics SH-8020 is a digital audio player (DAP) that was released by Panasonic in the late 1990s. It played audio files stored in Compact Flash (CF) cards using a high-precision double-panel complex filter D/A converter that produced a reported 120 dB signal-to-noise ratio. It had a 1.7-inch monochrome LCD screen and provided about 6 hours of playback from two AA batteries. This device was an early example of a portable music player that could store a large number of songs digitally, as opposed to relying on CDs or cassettes. However, its relatively high price and the limited popularity of digital audio formats at the time meant that it did not achieve widespread success, and it has since been discontinued.
