Brand: Technics

The Technics RS-T20 is a discontinued turntable model from the popular Japanese audio manufacturer, Panasonic (formerly known as Matsushita Electric). Released in the early 1980s, it was part of Technics' Reference Series, known for its high-end audiophile components. The RS-T20 turntable featured a two-speed (33 and 45 RPM) synchronous motor, which drove a heavy, metal platter using a belt drive system. Its tonearm was generally regarded as one of the best of its time, with a one-piece aluminum construction and a low-friction bearing system. The turntable also had a detachable headshell for cartridge swapping and a front-mounted LED light indicator for phono cartridge alignment.Overall, the Technics RS-T20 is considered a classic piece of audiophile equipment, famous for its high-quality audio performance and durable construction. However, due to its age and discontinuation, original units are now highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, with prices often fetching high premiums on the second-hand market.
