Brand: Technics

The Technics EPC-440C is an analog turntable that was produced by the Japanese electronics manufacturer, Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Panasonic), under its premium audio brand, Technics, in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The EPC-440C features a high-torque direct-drive system, a cast aluminum platter, a low-noise tonearm with an AT-33EB cartridge, and a stroboscopic light indicator for precise speed control. It also has a phono input for connecting to external amplifiers or receivers, and a lift/cue system for easy and convenient operation. The Technics EPC-440C is considered a classic turntable and is still highly valued by audiophiles today for its excellent tracking, low wow and flutter, and exclusion of many of the common sources of noise that can affect analog sound quality. Some units have also been reissued and updated by Panasonic as part of its Technics brand revival in recent years.
