The Tandberg TR 2075 (mkI) is a high-end videoconferencing system that was introduced by the Norwegian company Tandberg around the year 2000. It is a hardware-based H.320 solution designed for enterprise-level applications that require high video and audio quality, as well as reliable operation.The TR 2075 (mkI) features 640 x 480 CIF resolution video encoding and decoding, as well as support for audio compression standards such as G.723 and G.722. It also supports data compression to transmit computer images and documents over the videoconferencing link. The system has a built-in MCU (Multipoint Control Unit) that allows multi-point conferences to take place, such as three-way video calls or larger group conferences with gates and other features.The TR 2075 (mkI) is housed in a Rugged Hardened Military Grade Metal Casing for durability and includes features such as advanced echo cancellation, automatic gain control, and intuitive local and remote control panels. It is designed to operate in different environments, including boardrooms, remote offices, or network Operating Centers (NOCs).Although newer videoconferencing systems have since been released in the market, the Tandberg TR 2075 (mkI) remains a reliable solution for organizations that require high-level features and functionality for their videoconferencing needs. Tandberg was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2010, and elements of the Tandberg technology can still be found in Cisco's current videoconferencing product line.
