The Sharp RT-30 is a black and white dot matrix printer released in 1983. It operated using a 15-pin serial interface and had a printing speed of up to 144 characters per second. It used a 5-inch per line printing element and could print up to 4800 characters in a single line. The RT-30 also had various text formatting capabilities, including text alignment, it could print on paper up to 400 feet long, and it featured a built-in paper cutter. It was a popular printer model during the 1980s and 1990s due to its reliability and ease of use.
