Brand: Sansui
The Sansui PC-V1000 was a popular personal computer released in Japan by the electronics company Sansui in 1985. It featured an Intel 8085 processor running at 4.77 MHz, 16 KB of RAM, and a built-in 320 KB floppy disk drive. The PC-V1000 was unique in its time for its high-quality 12-inch amber monochrome monitor, which used a shadow mask CRT tube instead of the more common opening mask tubes found in other computers of the era. This gave the PC-V1000 a clear, crisp display that made it a favorite of graphic designers and engineers. The PC-V1000 also included a programmable keyboard and could run popular software applications such as Microsoft Word, Lotus 1-2-3, and WordStar. However, it did not have a widely adopted operating system, which limited its market share outside of Japan. Nonetheless, the Sansui PC-V1000 remains a collectible classic of the early days of personal computing.
