Brand: SAE

The SAE Mark VI is a compression ignition (diesel) engine standard developed by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). Introduced in 1972, it replaced the SAE Mark V standard and features an updated cylinder head design with improved sealing and reduced emissions. The Mark VI standard also includes specifications for engine lubrication, fuel injection, combustion, and engine noise and vibration levels. The goal of this standard is to provide a baseline for measuring and comparing the performance and emissions of diesel engines used in various industries such as automotive, commercial, and industrial applications.
