Brand: Revox

The Revox A78 is a high-end professional tape recorder, introduced by the Swiss manufacturer Studer as part of its Revox consumer and pro audio product line in 1971. The A78 was designed specifically for studio and broadcast applications, featuring exceptional sonic quality, advanced control and monitoring capabilities, and reliable performance. The machine used a quarter-inch, full-track, two-channel recording format, with adjustable speed, azimuth alignment, and sag compensation for optimal tape handling. It also included Dolby A and B noise reduction, stereo encoding and decoding, and various audio processing options, making it a versatile and highly functional tape recorder for professional use. The A78 was named after Rudolf Koellinger, the founder and managing director of Studer at the time.
