Brand: Restek

Restek GK-4 is a high-performance glass packed column designed for use with mass spectrometers in both electron impact (EI) and chemical ionization (CI) modes. It has a length of 3 meters (10 feet) and an internal diameter of 2 millimeters (0.078 inches), with a total number of theoretical plates of approximately 45,000. The glass packed material used in Restek GK-4 is a non-polar stationary phase that promotes the separation of volatile and semi-volatile organic compounds. The packed material consists of 0.32 micron (50/50) particles that are coated with a proprietary chemical bonding agent to minimize column bleed. Restek GK-4 is constructed with high-quality glass and fitted with Quartz frits that minimize sample introduction time and enhance repeatability. It is further designed with an easy-to-remove inlet connection to simplify column replacement and cleaning. The high efficiency and low bleed characteristics of Restek GK-4 make it an excellent choice for mass spectrometry applications that require maximum sensitivity and reproducibility, such as environmental analysis, impurity screening, and drug discovery research.
