The Pioneer PL-50L is a turntable model produced by Pioneer Corporation in the early 1980s. It was a part of Pioneer's high-end line of audio components known as the Super Audio Line (SAL).The PL-50L comes with a cast aluminum turntable that rests on discreet feet that offer anti-vibration properties. The platter is made of thin-diameter machined aluminum and has a chrome dust cover. The tonearm is cast aluminum and uses Pioneer's "pure transformer" design, which provides improved sound quality and eliminates feedback. The tonearm also features an adjustable counterweight and antiskating mechanism.The PL-50L features a vinyl-to-phono circuit that is specially designed to minimize distortion and noise, as well as a low-noise AC adapter (ACA-55) which powers the turntable. It also has a switch to select between 33 1/3 and 45 RPM speeds, as well as a pitch control function for 78 RPM records.Overall, the Pioneer PL-50L is a high-end turntable that offers excellent sound quality, reliability, and durability.
