Brand: Pioneer

The Pioneer CLD-2080 is a digital audio player that was introduced in 2002. It was a high-end consumer product designed for audiophile-grade audio playback, featuring a 24-bit/48 kHz digital-to-analog converter, Burr-Brown DAC chips, and a proprietary digital filter algorithm. It supported a variety of popular audio file formats, including MP3, WAV, and Microsoft's lossless WMA format. In 2004, Pioneer released an updated version, the CLD-2085, that added support for newer audio formats like Dolby Digital and DTS. The CLD-2080 and CLD-2085 both received critical acclaim for their high-quality sound and were considered some of the best digital audio players of their time. However, as digital audio technology advanced rapidly during the early 2000s, these models eventually became outdated and were no longer produced.
