The McIntosh MR55A is a high-performance integrated amplifier. It provides 225 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 450 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The amplifier features McIntosh's patented Solid Cinch™ RCA connectors, gold-plated speaker binding posts, and a Dynamic Power Manager (DPM) that supplies extra power to the speakers during demanding portions of a program. The MR55A also includes a front-panel headphone jack, an improved unit gain control, a solid aluminum remote control, and numerous practical and user-friendly functions, such as IR input/output, 12 volt trigger input/output, and a variety of digital and analog inputs, including six line inputs, two balanced inputs, and an MCT input for connecting McIntosh's MCT series of SACD/CD transports. The MR55A's circuitry and aesthetics are consistent with McIntosh's established heritage of finest craftsmanship and peerless audio performance.
