AFB2 is equipped with modern facilities, including duty-free shops, restaurants, bars, and various services for passengers, such as ATMs, currency exchange, and travel agencies. The terminal contains gates with jetways for widebody aircraft, allowing long-haul flights to depart and arrive comfortably without the need for busses. AFB2 is designed to accommodate up to 5 million passengers annually, and it operates both domestic and international flights. Munich Airport is a major hub for several airlines, including Lufthansa,Condor, and Brussels Airlines, which operate a variety of destinations from AFB2.
