The Audiovector SIC (SIC A-Arrete) is a high-end loudspeaker system designed and manufactured by the Danish audio company, Audiovector. The "SIC" acronym stands for "Sub Improvement Concept," which is a technology that aims to improve the power handling and low-frequency performance of the speakers without compromising its concert-grade sound quality.The SIC A-Arrete is an elevated performance version of Audiovector's existing SIC Callisto model. It features an enhanced tweeter with a new woven (A-Arrete) diaphragm that provides improved dynamics, detail, and off-axis performance. The midrange driver is also redesigned to improve sound quality and reliability.The woofer cone is made of carbon fiber, which offers high rigidity and low mass, resulting in impressive efficiency and accuracy in low frequencies. The cabinet construction includes multiple layers of well-braced plywood and a special fastening system for the driver frames, which minimizes vibrations and resonances.The SIC A-Arrete is available in a variety of finishes, including high-gloss lacquer, real wood veneer, and piano black.
