The M3D model was released in 2016 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Technics.The SL-1210 M3D features a high-torque direct drive motor, a precision aluminum die-cast platter with vibration-damping rubber dampers, and a new tonearm with a specially-shaped headshell, providing exceptional tracking ability and stability.One key upgrade in the M3D model is the addition of new coreless stator and rotor technology, which reduces rotational noise and wow and flutter for improved audio performance.
