Synthesis Nimis is a patent-pending formulation developed by NESTLE HEALTH SCIENCE to support joint mobility and function in patients with osteoarthritis (OA). Nimis is a natural synergistic combination of collagen peptides, hyaluronic acid (HA), and other bioactive compounds derived from natural sources. Collagen peptides are the building blocks of the connective tissue matrix, including cartilage, which is degraded in OA. Collagen peptides have been shown to stimulate chondrogenesis, the process by which cartilage tissue is produced, and promote collagen biosynthesis and deposition, which may help to restore the integrity of the cartilage matrix. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a glycosaminoglycan (GAG) that is a major component of the extracellular matrix of articular cartilage. HA helps to regulate water balance and lubricate joints, which may help to reduce joint friction and promote mobility. The bioactive compounds derived from natural sources in Nimis are designed to support the synthesis of new cartilage matrix tissue and mitigate inflammation, which is common in OA.
