Brand: Sinclair

The Sinclair Project 60 (Z30) is an early home computer released by Sinclair Research in 1982. It was designed as a budget-friendly machine for the mass market, building on the success of the Sinclair ZX80 and ZX81 computers. The Project 60 had several notable features, including a 3.25 MHz Zilog Z80A processor, 64 KB RAM (expandable to 256 KB using an external interface), and a built-in cassette recorder. The machine also included graphics capabilities, with a resolution of 320x240 pixels and 16 colors. Additional features included a built-in analogue modem, which could be used to connect to local bulletin board systems (BBS) and dial-up services, and a Speech and Sound Module (SSM) expansion, which added audio input and output capabilities.Overall, the Project 60 was a relatively unsuccessful machine because of its high price point and limited compatibility with existing software. However, it helped to pave the way for future developments in home computing, such as the advent of ribbon cables and directly-connected peripherals, which allowed for more reliable and efficient connectivity. Today, the Project 60 is regarded as a historical artefact and a curious relic of the early days of home computing.
