Brand: Pioneer

The Pioneer PL-405 is a turntable model introduced by the Japanese audio manufacturer Pioneer in the mid-1980s. It was part of Pioneer's line of Direct Drive turntables aimed at audiophiles and professional DJs. Some of the key features of the PL-405 included a high-precision FF (fast-fectch) motor design that minimized wow and flutter, an S-shaped tonearm with adjustable tracking force and antiskating, a quartz-controlled pitch slider for accurate beatmatching, and a heavy, non-resonant MDF (medium-density fiberboard) plinth. The PL-405 was available in both black and silver finishes and was widely regarded as a high-quality and versatile turntable that combined superior audio performance with features suited to DJing applications.
