Brand: Pathos

The Pathos Classic One (mkI) is a high-end, stereo integrated amplifier produced by the Italian audio company, Pathos Acoustics. This particular version, known as the mkI, was introduced in 1999 and featured a solid-state design with six input selectors and a Power Display System that indicated the amplifier's operating status. With a power output of 2 x 60 watts into 8 ohms and a frequency response of 2 Hz to 100 kHz (+1dB), the Classic One (mkI) was considered a benchmark amplifier in its time, known for its warmth, detail, and smoothness in sound.Notable features of the Pathos Classic One (mkI) include a low-noise, high-voltage, and high-current power supply, a fully differential input stage, and a proprietary output diamond buffer stage. Additionally, the Classic One (mkI) had high-quality components, including glass-epoxy PCBs, metal film resistors, and polyester film capacitors, to ensure the best possible sound quality.Although Pathos has since released newer versions of the Classic One (mkI), such as the mkIII and mkIV, the mkI continues to be sought after by audiophiles and collectors due to its reputation for musicality, detail, and tonality.
