Brand: National

The National SA-420 is a light utility and maritime reconnaissance aircraft designed and built by the French aircraft manufacturer, Société des Avions Marcel Bloch (SAMB) in the 1950s. The SA-420, also known as the Alouette II or Marine Alouette, was primarily used by the French Navy for coastal and offshore reconnaissance, anti-submarine warfare, search and rescue, and maritime transport purposes. It also served in the armies of several other countries, including Greece, Israel, and Egypt, as well as the United Nations forces during peacekeeping missions. The SA-420 was eventually replaced by more advanced helicopters in the 1970s and 80s, but remain in use with some military aviation units as of today, mostly for training purposes. Its reliability, simplicity, and versatility have made it a popular choice for countries with a limited aviation budget and operational needs.
