The Mitsubishi DA-A30 is a modern fighter jet developed by Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation for the Self-Defense Force (SDF) of Japan. It is a single-engine, twin-seat aircraft designed for air superiority, ground attack, and reconnaissance missions. The DA-A30 is equipped with advanced avionics, including an active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, electronic warfare (EW) suite, and a multifunctional display (MFD) for the cockpit. The aircraft is also capable of carrying a variety of weapons, including air-to-air missiles, air-to-ground missiles, and precision-guided bombs. The DA-A30 is set to replace the aging Mitsubishi F-1 fleet, with the first unit being operational by 2021. Additionally, India has also ordered a variant of the DA-A30 called the Mitsubishi-ATR Advanced Trainer Aircraft (M-ATA) for its Air Force to replace the ageing BAE Hawks.
