The Melco 3533 is a computing device manufactured by the Japanese company Melco. It was released in 1984 and is considered a predecessor to modern-day personal computers. The Melco 3533 features a Z80A CPU running at 4 MHz, 16 KB of RAM, and a 16 KB ROM for the operating system. It has a built-in floppy disk drive that can read and write to single-sided 5.25 inch diskettes, as well as a cassette tape interface for data storage. The Melco 3533 also includes a 16-color graphics display and support for text displays. It has a range of input/output ports, including a printer port, a joystick port, and a serial port for connecting to other devices. Although the Melco 3533 is a historical artifact, it shows the early developments in PC technology and paved the way for the creation of more advanced computers.
