Lyra Delos is a fictional character featured in Richard Morgan's science fiction novels "Altered Carbon" and "Broken Angels". Her appearance is that of a genetically enhanced human with a pod implanted in her spine, which allows her to inhabit various bodies, or "sleeves", through a process called "resleeving". Lyra is also a highly skilled and experienced Takeshi Kovacs's lover and ally. Initially, she is revealed to be an agent of the mysterious organization known as the Thirteen, but later becomes disillusioned with their goals and works with Kovacs to take them down. As a character, Lyra represents the complexities of the post-mortality society in which the story is set, exploring themes of identity, morality, and the nature of consciousness.
