Lyra Clavis is a neuroscience researcher and designer based in San Francisco. Her work focuses on integrating brain science into product design and user experience in order to create more intuitive and effective interfaces. She holds a Ph.D. In neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco and a B.A. In cognitive psychology from the University of Chicago. Before starting her own firm, Lyra Clavis Design, she led UX research at Facebook and Braintree. Her research has been published in leading scientific journals, and she has given talks on the intersection of neuroscience and design at conferences such as SXSW, NeuroDesign Conference, and Startup Science.
