Brand: JVC
The JVC Z-1 STE (Static-Electron-Laser-Chromium-Phosphor-Tube Electron Beam Deflection System, pronounced "seat") is a pioneering high-definition television system developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s by JVC (Japan Victor Company). It utilized a cathode ray tube (CRT) technology with multiple electron guns and lenses to display high-resolution images, reaching a resolution of up to 1200 lines and a wide-angle view, comparable to modern high-definition televisions. The JVC Z-1 STE system was not commercially successful due to its high cost and complex technology, but it paved the way for future CRT and flat-panel display technologies.
