Brand: Hitachi

The Hitachi SR-1100 is a 2-head, 5.25-inch controllable peripheral storage device that was introduced in 1989. It utilized the ESDI (Enhanced Small Device interface) standard, which provides faster data transfer rates and better error correction capabilities than the earlier ST-506/15-M1 interface. The SR-1100 had a storage capacity of up to 520 MB, which was a significant improvement compared to earlier disk drives that had capacities of only around 20 MB. The SR-1100 was popular among computer enthusiasts and businesses that required high-performance storage solutions for tasks such as data backup, archiving, and database management. However, it was eventually replaced by newer, faster, and more capacious disk drive technologies such as SCSI and SATA.
