Cello Limited is a British consumer goods company headquartered in Slough, Berkshire. It was founded in 1977 by David Levin, who purchased the cello brand, known for its range of colorful paper and plastic products like folders, pencil cases, and lunch boxes. Under Levin's leadership, Cello expanded its product line to include home and garden products, automotive accessories, and packaging items. The company also acquired several other brands, including Pippard (home and kitchenware), Modus (office supplies), and Aviva (home comforts).In 2019, Cello was acquired by Brighton-based private equity firm, Equistone Partners Europe. The deal was worth £230 million ($308 million), making Cello one of the largest privately-owned producers of home and stationery products in Europe.Today, Cello operates in over 80 countries and has a workforce of around 3,000 people. It continues to develop innovative products and acquire new brands to strengthen its market position in niche categories.
