Brand: BSR

The BSR P200 is a marine battery charger designed for use in boats and other marine applications. It is a four-step charger, which means it utilizes a charging process that has four distinct stages: bulk, absorption, float, and maintenance. During the bulk charging stage, the charger delivers a high current to the battery until it reaches approximately 75% of its full charge. This stage is designed to quickly charge the battery without damaging it. The absorption stage follows, during which the charger continues to deliver a high current to the battery until it is fully charged. Once the battery reaches full charge, the charger enters the float stage, during which it maintains the battery at full charge, providing a lower current to prevent overcharging. Finally, the maintenance stage begins after the battery has been allowed to sit at full charge for an extended period (usually 1-2 weeks). During this stage, the charger delivers a very low charging current to prevent damage to the battery due to sulfation, which can occur when a battery sits at less than full charge for an extended period. The BSR P200 is designed to accommodate a variety of battery types, including flooded, AGM, and GEL. It features a variable voltage output that can be adjusted to suit the specific needs of the batteries being charged. Additionally, it has several safety features to prevent overcharging and overheating, as well as a displays that shows the battery's charge level and charging status.
