Brand: Basf
BASF D-6160 is a monomer used in the production of polyurethane resins. It is a pure, colorless liquid with a boiling point of 315°C (600°F) and a density of 1.03 g/cm³ at 20°C (68°F). Its chemical structure is as follows:H2N(CH2CH2O)2CH2COOHIn polyurethane chemistry, BASF D-6160 is added to a polyol and a diisocyanate to form a polyurethane prepolymer. The prepolymer is then cured with a catalyst and heat to form a hard, durable polyurethane part with excellent properties such as hardness, abrasion resistance, and impact strength.
