Brand: Aiwa

The AIWA CA-DW9 is a portable digital audio player released by AIWA in the late 1990s. It allowed for the storage of up to 30 songs (in MPMan file format) on a removable miniDisk (MD) media. The device also featured a rechargeable battery, a USB connection for data transfer, and a built-in mono speaker. The AIWA CA-DW9 offered a more affordable and convenient alternative to CD-based music players, as MDs were smaller, more durable, and could be easily swapped out between devices. It was also compatible with AIWA's Active Sports headphones, which were designed to be worn during sports or exercise. The AIWA CA-DW9 was a pioneering product in the development of portable digital music players, that paved the way for the later development and popularity of MP3 players.
